New labyrinth garden

Yup, you got it: We’re tearing out ANOTHER section of lawn at Holy Nativity to expand the Garden.  This section is right along 83rd Street.

An Eagle Scout candidate is leading the way, and there is room for community volunteers to participate.

Come join in, whenever it fits your calendar:  NOTE DATE CHANGES

• Groundbreaking:  Sun. May 22 (11:30am-5pm).  lawn removal, shrub removal, tree trimming.
• Site preparation:  Sun. Jun 12 (11:30am-5pm). root removal and tilling.
• Layout:  Sat. Jun 18 (9:30am-5pm).  soil-building, headerboard installation, mulching.
• Planting:  Fri. Jun 24 (9:30am-5pm).  planting 6 trees, beneficial-insect-attractant flowers, and shade vegetables.  assembling benches.

Later this summer, we will be adding a meditation labyrinth (to be open to the public) to this space.  But first, the Eagle Scout candidate is learning about leadership and running a really big project!
